Landscapes
There are many distractions when painting in my studio, which is why I love to paint en plein air, which means painting on location outdoors. It comes with challenges: too cold, too warm, rain, sudden clouds, moving clouds, shifting sun, bugs, bugs and more bugs. I also tend to be a slow painter, a handicap for plein air painting, unless I return multiple days to the same location. Most paintings here are done en plein air, and touched up in the studio afterwards.
